Before Picking a Niche you need to Ensure there are Plenty of
Hungry Buyers.
This above statement may sound simple enough but it is very easy to
get sidetracked when looking for a niche to market to. Finding the correct niche is the
first step to a successful campaign. Every niche group has its own style, some are chock
full of avid buyers and hungry customers ready to buy on the spot no matter what. Some
will contain people that resent the idea of having to pay for information, after all the
internet is a place to find information and it should be for free.
So keep reading and I will show you the top 5 niche's proven to buy
products. These will be quite obvious to some people and not for others so I will keep it
very broad. All of these niche's need to be broken down into a sub niche. This can be done
by coming up with lots of related phrases and looking at search numbers for each of these
phrases. We need to find a compromise between lots of searches with as little a
competition as possible. I use Keyword Elite to help do this quickly, though you do not need this as it
can all be done manually if you have the time.
These are in no special order. So here goes:
Niche #1 Gambling.
Gamblers are very serious about their hobby. Weather you choose horse
racing, poker, blackjack, sports betting etc they are very focused on being successful and
they are willing to pay for systems that improve their strike rate. One thing you need to
make sure is the product contains solid information or if its a system it works. Try
looking in their forums to find products they are recommending to each other and than
promote these products as an affiliate. Gamblers do rely on worth of mouth type referrals.
Also they will buy again so once you have a successful campaign try to leverage your
return by building a list at the same time.
Niche #2 Computer Repair Problems.
This is a very large and broad area that is broken down into numerous sub
niche's such as spyware removal or registry cleanup etc. There is nothing more annoying
than a problem with your computer, and to get a repair company out is quite expensive, so
this is why products and software sell very well in this niche. Most searches for these
products contain people ready to spend money to have their problem fixed as soon as
possible. Also they do not require a hard sell or added bonuses to close the sale.
Niche #3 Affiliate Marketing.
There arn't to many niche's that are more profitable
than affiliate marketing. As an affiliate myself I will quite often spend money to keep up
with the latest trends and ways to try and stay ahead of the competition. The turnover of
new affiliates is also very high so there is always a new wave of customers looking to cut
it in affiliate marketing. The best products to find are new release products. Chech the
clickbank marketplace for new releases and use the CB
Trends website to analyse if their a product on the way up or one that is already at
its peak. Enter the vendor ID that is used in clickbank and pay close attention to the top
2 graphs. The best popularity is 1, and the higher the gravity the more affiliates are
promoting the product Look for a gravity with a steady rise to atleast 50 to confirm
this could be a product worth promoting. Two products I have recently purchased are DayJobKiller and AdwordsMiracle.
Check them out taking note of their sales page etc. Also sign up to the newsletter on
offer, as being on some of top affiliates mailing list will give you good ideas about what
products are hot. When a new product is about to drop you will know as they will try to
pre sell you to buy it and tell you when it is being released. Put these 2 clickbank
vendor ID's 'dayjobkill' and 'awmiracle' into CB Trends to see what happens when great
products are released.
Niche #4 Website Traffic.
We all want to get free traffic from the search
engines and in the process will buy lots of manuals and e-books looking for that elusive
loophole to trick the google bot. There is a constant cycle of buyers and there are
literally hundreds of products on Clinkbank to promote on this topic. The competition can
be tough but there is a huge variety of keywords that can be used to work with. Search
engine optimisation is a slow and steady process, you need to be persistant in writing
fresh content, getting links, submitting articles just to name a few. In another section I
go into depth about SEO.
Niche #5 Online products for mobile phones, iPods
and PSP's.
I personally have not put much time into this niche
but these products do convert very well of the correct keywords. The keywords can be
relatively to bid on and alot of other affiliates also avoid this area so there is lots of
potential. Most are physical products so commissions can be quite low. Movie downloads
will only increase in popularity and now most music sites are legal this will also
continue to rise.
I hope this has given you an idea on a place to
start and what niche to pick. Remember each of these 5 can be broken down into hundreds of
sub-niche's so get out there and do your research to find one that suits your style.
