  As you know google adwords is the best way to begin promoting any product or service. The ease of setting up a campaign makes adwords the number 1 place to get ads up and running in no time.   When testing for a new product or checking out affiliate product conversions we obviously need to get as many clicks as possible in as short a time frame as possible. The one thing apart from keywords that will determine this is your ad. The headline being the most important part this is where we will start.

  Below is a list of copy and paste headlines that always provide solid CTR's. The dashes  --------- represent your dominant keyword.

  • Looking for ---------?
  • --------- Scam?
  • --------- Exposed
  • No More ---------
  • --------- Dead?
  • or simply just the dominant keyword by itself.

  These headlines are very simple and are a great starting point to attract clicks. Next is the body of the text and your first step is to go to sales letter and write down all the benefits listed there. These should be the best benefits of the product on offer. Try to put in as many as possible while also doing a very brief pre-sell of the product. A sample ad may look like the one below.

  The only way to know what will work in the chosen niche is to test. Always split test your ads in google. When starting a new ad change the headlines slightly but keep the body the same. Let it run and the consumer will tell you what is best. Once you are happy with the headline change the benefits and keep testing. Always test test test.

   I will regularly check out the competitions ads to keep up with the latest trends. Modelling the best is spoken about alot by successful people. Your not trying to re-invent the wheel so use others ideas, ad your own twist and try to beat them. One that caught my eye today was Looking for DayJobKiller? The Monster of Affiliate Systems Is On Us.... Get it quick here. This makes you think they are giving the product away but it was just a direct link to the sales page. Not sure if this will stand up to google's rules but could be worth testing on some other products. A landing page with a review and some free bonuses if they buy thru your link would definately help conversions but at the end of the day the idea of adwords is to get the clicks and I bet this ad would do just that.

  If you have a large variety of keywords and do not have the time to make individual ad groups for each main keyword you could try 'Dynamic Keyword Insertion' as a starting point only. So if someone searches for Adwords Miracle then that exact phrase will show up in your headline in bold. To do this you would enter {Keyword: Adwords Miracle} in the headline box of your ad. This is a great time saver but google will penalise your quility score for doing this so please only use this temporarily until you find the best keywords and then split them into seperate ad groups.
